Kashimashi Girl Meets Girl Anime Image Collection - Yuri Romance Manga Wall Art for Bedroom & Office Decor

I really enjoy this CD. It's the first Anime music I'd ever heard (Whisper of the Heart is the second, and only other; also great), and I found it a wonderfully enjoyable listen. I originally thought it would be music from the soundtrack, but later learned that an Image Album is more of a collection of original songs sung by the characters from the anime, in songs and in styles characteristic of their anime personalities. I'll take their word for it, as I don't understand Japanese. With the exception of one song used in the ending credits of the anime chapters, this music does not appear in the KashiMashi anime episodes at all.But what wonderful tunes!. All of these songs, sung in the childlike voices of the characters, are catchy, bouncy, and a delight to my ears. Some of the tunes are preceded by a short bit of dialog in Japanese; (if you're an opera fan, think of a bit of recitative preceding an aria). The music is upbeat in the extreme. I have a number of original soundtrack CD's from the weekly live-action Japanese television dramas and romantic comedies -- also some fabulous music there -- but this CD gets played more than all the others. The soundtrack for KashiMashi was quite nice, but in my opinion, the songs on this Image Album are head and shoulders above the soundtrack. (Admitedly, I haven't heard the OST CD itself, just watched the anime.)If you enjoyed KashiMashi and liked the music, or have the OST CD, do yourself a favor and consider getting a copy of this one, too. I first "acquired" it as a set of MP3's, but enjoyed it so very much, I just had to have the original CD. As an import, it's quite pricey, so take a look at yesasia.com, where you can get it quite a bit cheaper. It's listed as Kasimasi.
