My 12 month old is starting to walk a lot and we were looking to buy her first pair of shoes. We've gone through different styles of crocs and those were not easy to slip onto chunky feet and some styles were tight. I purchased new balance size 4 regular and size 4 wide. The size 4 wide fit, but it wasn't easy getting the shoes on. It's hard getting shoes on this girl. She wants to play with it instead of wearing it. Then came these amazing shoes. The stride rite was already wider and it was so easy to slip them onto my daughter's chunky feet. I'm so amazed by how easy it was, I'll definitely buy this brand from now on.Update 1 month later: My daughter has been wearing these for a month now. She walks more confidently than I would have expected in shoes (barefoot is easier) and she brings them to me to put them on her. She likes them, so it's a winner.Update 6 months later: her feet size has grown to around 4.5-5, but these shoes still fit. The downside is that the velcro overtime weakened from all the pulling. My toddler enjoys playing with the velcro. We decided to go up and purchase a 5.5 so it lasts longer. The new shoes are not soft motion, but still a stride rite. She still walks very well, but I think the soft motion was easier for a new walker. It definitely helped her learn to walk with ease.
